Our story

Run by two people who missed cooking for neighbours.

Harbor & Thyme opened in the old harbour quarter when chef Mara Lindqvist and host Tomas Berg decided a good bistro should feel like someone's kitchen table. Mara buys from the same three market stalls each week; Tomas keeps the room warm and the wine list short but honest.

01

A short, changing menu

We cook what the market gives us that week, so the board changes but the standard never does.

02

A room built for lingering

Oak tables, low light and no rush — lunch can be quick, but dinner is meant to run long.

03

Service that listens closely

Tell us about allergies, dietary needs or the kind of table you prefer when you reserve, and we’ll plan your visit with care.

12:00–14:30

Lunch that fits the workday

A quick seasonal plate and clear timing for locals and small work lunches. Walk-ins are usually fine.

Dinner worth reserving

Warm lighting and a slower table rhythm. The room is small, so a reservation is the safest bet.

Good to know

Questions we hear most.

Do you take walk-ins?

Yes — lunch and the 16:30–18:30 aperitivo window are usually easiest without a booking. For dinner, a reservation is the safer choice since the room seats under forty.

Do you have vegetarian or vegan options?

There's always at least one vegetarian plate on the board, and we're happy to adapt dishes where we can. Tell your server about any dietary need when you arrive or book.

Can we book for a group?

Parties up to eight can book directly by email or phone. For larger groups, contact us in advance so we can set the room properly.

Is there parking nearby?

Street parking in the old harbour quarter is limited. The Quay 6 public garage is a three-minute walk, and there's bike parking directly outside.

Are children welcome?

Yes. High chairs are available on request, and weekday lunch is the most relaxed time to bring the family.

Reservations

Book a table, or just ask us a question.

Email or call us directly with your preferred date, time and party size. For dinner, especially Friday and Saturday, booking a few days ahead is a good idea.
